As a single, working mum, I know better than most that life is hectic; I operate at a ridiculous pace with an exhaustive to do list and never enough hours in the day. There are however a few non-negotiables that keep me sane, and top of that list are my sessions at TMB. I go every day, without fail and, much like brushing my teeth, it’s not something I think about. It’s an hour to myself which is bliss. Is it always fun – no. Does it hurt – yes. Am I uncomfortable – yes. Do I love it – HELL YES! And then benefits… countless! At 43 I am stronger than ever; I’m 5ft 2 and can deadlift double my body weight and do weighted pulls ups alongside the best of them.
What makes this daily routine such an easy decision – the guys and the community at TMB; each one of the team brings something unique and brilliant; Harry’s absolute attention to detail and determination that everyone should have perfect functional strength and movement is exhaustive, Dexter’s dedication to ensuring that no muscle goes unmissed and that every single rep (and there’s lots of them) counts is unwavering and Scott’s outstanding energy make them the absolute best. The guys are so encouraging – at every stage, whatever your fitness level – you feel as though you have your own personal team of trainers, focused on your journey and doggedly determined to help you reach your goals. The community is just brilliant too; such a fabulous group of people from all walks and stages of life, working together to bring the best energy and make this little world so very special. The absolute best part is that, whatever my mood when I walk through those doors, the fantastic team and lovely people make me laugh, out loud, every single session and I leave a happier, stronger person.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have these guys in my corner and this studio on my doorstep.
